This consultation closed in April 2024, an update has been provided below.
Following the approval of the Hanworth Air Park Community Woodland Proposal in 2023, 79% of the respondents to the proposal supported the idea to create a Cycle Hub with café, classroom space, bicycle hire shop and workshop teaching bicycle repair.
A further detailed survey was created in February 2024 which included questions relating to services and facilities park users want to see in the 'Community Cycle Hub'. This was to ensure that the designs moving forward works for the community and local users of the park.
With 38 responses, the results show the use of shipping containers to create a building is supported by the community, with the provision of a cafe, toilet and cycle hub.
This will become part of the community woodland design proposal, in conjunction with the Hanworth Air Park Masterplan that is in consultation stage right now.
