Following the approval of the Hanworth Air Park Community Woodland Proposal last year, the Council Parks team wants to thank you for your feedback and support.
In response to great support for the creation of a community woodland at Hanworth Park, we will now commence the development of the Community Woodland proposed design and orchard planting plan and will identify funding opportunities to deliver this project.
A reminder of the proposal:
Open up an inaccessible area of woodland, scrub and brownfield land next to Hanworth Air Park to create a new community woodland.
Works include:
New adaptive bike trail
New pedestrian and cycle paths
Creation and enhancement of wildlife habitats
Restore a large traditional orchard
New cycle hub with café

The Hanworth Air Park Community Woodland Consultation Summary provides a detailed breakdown of the questions and responses which you can find under Documents on the right.
The work will ensure that the required level of technical and construction detail are developed for the Community Woodland proposed design, including the Orchard planting plan (as attached) to submit a planning application.
Subject to a planning decision, if approved, Hounslow Council will look for funding opportunities to deliver this fantastic project for the local community and Hounslow.
