Syon Estate Proposed CPZ
Consultation has concluded
Outcome of consultation:
Thank you to all those who took part in this consultation.
Following analysis of the results, the attached letter has been sent to residents within the consultation area (see the 'resident update' letter in the 'documents' section to the right.
The results of the consultation indicated that the majority of respondents do not support the introduction of parking controls and there is a preference to retain the current ‘uncontrolled’ manner of parking. This outcome was also reflected on a road-by-road basis where only Acacia Avenue and Beech Avenue returned an overall response in support of a CPZ.
Upon consideration of the consultation results, and following discussions with your local ward councillors, it has been agreed that the CPZ proposal should be withdrawn due to a lack of support.
Overview
Following concerns from local residents and ward councillors regarding parking difficulties, the council is now commencing consultation regarding the possible introduction of a controlled parking zone (CPZ) in the Syon Estate.
The proposals
We seek your views on whether a new CPZ in Acacia Avenue, Almond Grove, Beech Avenue, Birch Close, Cherry Crescent, Hawthorn Hatch, Hawthorn Road, Hazel Close, Hornbeam Crescent, Maple Grove and Rowan Road is supported.
If there is support for a CPZ, the council are also seeking your views on the proposed layout such as the parking place and yellow line locations, the operational days and times of a CPZ, and any other parking related issues in the area.
Your role
We are asking those who live or work in these roads to share their views on the existing operational times and whether changes should be introduced.
