Children and Young People Plan

<h2>Background</h2>Last year, the council received funding from South Western Railway&rsquo;s (SWR) Customers and Communities Improvement Fund (CCIF) to undertake feasibility work to improve Brentford and Isleworth station forecourts. The key objectives of the study are to improve accessibility and safety and to create spaces that are welcoming, friendly, and balance the needs of various transport modes and users. We will be looking at street furniture, cycle parking, wayfinding and planting to improve the surrounding public realm.This builds on the recent work at Isleworth station where new lifts have been delivered to provide step free access to the platforms. It forms part of the council&rsquo;s ambitious corporate plan for a greener and healthier borough, supporting residents to make healthy travel choices and improving air quality. <h2>Consultation</h2>The council&rsquo;s transport planning team have been working with designers and engineers at Systra to produce concept designs for Brentford and Isleworth respectively. These can be found on the righthand side of this webpage. There is a 2D plan and 3D images to help showcase what the space could look like in future.Please take some time to review the documents and use the surveys below to let us know your views. All feedback with be reviewed and plans will be updated based on insights and ideas collected from the community. These will be shared with Network Rail and South West Railway for consideration as the landowners and leaseholders of the stations. Following the announcement of a General Election on 4 July, please note that the council&#39;s pre-election period commences on Monday 3 June and engagement activity for this consultation will be postponed as a result. To accomodate this change, the consultation deadline will be extended for a minimum of two weeks to allow responses following the election. The surveys will remain open during the pre-election period for any one wishing to comment on proposals for Brentford and/or Isleworth station. Improvements at Brentford and Isleworth rail stations

OverviewEarlier in the year improvements were made to Avenue park. Works included a brand new outdoor gym made by The Great Gym Outdoor (TGO) company and installed by Lampton Services Greenspace.
