Active Spaces- Roundel

Active Spaces- Sports Area

The following questions are related to a potential active space opposite the tennis courts,which will enable more variety of activity from dance to sports,  which is all dependant on the results of this survey and engagements.

The Oval – This design transforms the disused pitch-and-putt area beside the tennis courts into a new active space. The design focuses on the creation of an oval, inward-looking space, bounded on one side by a protective crescent of planting and park benches.  

The Quad - This design transforms the disused pitch-and-putt area beside the tennis courts into a new active space. The design focuses on the creation of a large gravel area centered around a large 5-way swing, creating a clear focal point for activity and play.

We’re looking at ways to create seating that brings people together - spaces where friends and groups can relax, chat, and feel connected while still maintaining visibility across the park.
