Improvement to Heston Road Bus Stop
Hounslow Council is committed to ensuring that all bus stops in the borough are safe, accessible, and compliant with Transport for London (TfL) and Department for Transport (DfT) standards.
At present, the layout of the bus stop outside 25 Heston Road does not meet accessibility requirements. The waiting area is narrow and the kerb height is too low for bus ramps to deploy properly, making it difficult for wheelchair users, parents with prams, and other passengers with mobility needs to board or leave the bus safely.
We are aware that some residents living close to the bus stop outside 25 Heston Road may have received a letter inviting them to take part in a consultation regarding bus stop accessibility improvements. We would like to acknowledge this was issued in error; Hounslow Council is not consulting on these works. Instead, the Council would like to inform residents about planned bus stop accessibility improvements that will be carried out at this location.
We apologise for any confusion caused and would like to direct you to Hounslow Council's webpage with more information about the planned improvement works.
If you have questions about the works or require information in another format (for example, large print or translation), please contact: traffic@hounslow.gov.uk or call 020 8583 2000
