Gloucester Road Area CPZ
Hounslow Council is seeking your views on a proposal to implement a controlled parking zone (CPZ) in Gloucester Road, Hounslow, and the surrounding area. The survey is open for your views until 20 November 2026.
Overview
A petition has been received by the council requesting the introduction of a CPZ in Gloucester Road, Hounslow.
The petition identifies an increase in non-residential parking as a primary cause of the parking difficulties being experienced, suggested to be caused by visitors to local amenities and commuter parking.
In response to the petition, the council are now seeking the views of those who live or work within the above roads to determine if there is a wider support for the proposed introduction of a CPZ.
What are we proposing?
As a result of the petition, the council are now commencing engagement regarding the possible introduction of a CPZ in Gloucester Road and the surrounding roads. To understand the current parking conditions in the area, and whether there is support for a CPZ in these roads, the proposed CPZ extends to include the following:
- Barrack Road
- Beavers Lane (east of Calvary Crescent / Beavers Crescent)
- Cardington Square
- Charter Crescent
- Corporation Avenue
- Dukes Avenue
- Fir Tree Road
- Gloucester Road
- Hinton Avenue
- Laurel Gardens
- Martindale Road (from junction with Beavers Lane)
- Tivoli Road
We are seeking your views on whether a new CPZ in the Gloucester Road area is supported and, if so, your thoughts on:
- Whether a CPZ should be introduced in the roads detailed above
- The operational days and times of a possible CPZ
Further details relating to CPZs are included on the copy of the engagement letter, accessible via the engagement documents section of this webpage.
Why are we proposing this?
To resolve the issues raised in the petition by removing long-stay non-resident parking in the area, having it reserved for local resident permit holders on specific days and times.
