Hounslow Council wants your views on proposal to implement a controlled parking zone (CPZ) in Alderney Avenue, Jersey Road (in part) and Lime Tree Road. The consultation is open for your views until 23 February 2026.

Overview

A petition was received by the council requesting the introduction of a CPZ in Alderney Avenue and Jersey Road (in part), Heston.

The petition identifies that the lack of parking controls on Alderney Avenue and Jersey Road, has recently resulted in an increase of long-stay parking by non-residents which can often result in obstructive and indiscriminate parking taking place. It is suggested that this increased parking is having a negative impact on parking provisions for residents and their visitors.

What are we proposing?

As a result of the petition, the council are now commencing consultation regarding the possible introduction of a CPZ in Alderney Avenue and Jersey Road (the currently uncontrolled section).

Due to its close proximity, the CPZ proposal is also being extended to include Lime Tree Road.

We seek your views on whether a new CPZ in Alderney Avenue, Jersey Road (in part) and Lime Tree Road is supported and, if so, your thoughts on:

• The proposed scheme design; and

• The possible operational days and times of a CPZ

Further details relating to CPZs are included on the copy of the consultation letter, accessible via the right-hand side of this webpage, along with a plan showing the proposed location of parking bays and yellow lines.

Why are we proposing this?

To resolve the issues raised in the petition by removing long-stay non-resident parking in the area, having it reserved for local resident permit holders on specific days and times.

Drop-in session – come and meet the team to discuss any queries you have about the scheme. We will be at Heston Library, New Heston Road, TW5 0LW between Noon and 2pm on Thursday 12 February 2026.
