Who is your local unsung hero?

Who makes life run smoothly where you live?

Hounslow Council wants to celebrate our often unsung heroes who make life better on our housing estates and around Council homes. This could be:

• a residents association or local group who take an active interest in the area you live or keeps you informed about what is happening
• people who selflessly clear up around our housing and look after grounds
• people who look out for neighbours
• people or groups who host local events
• anyone else who makes a difference to local housing and estates

Who will you nominate as your local unsung hero?

Please tell us below who you think deserves recognition, this can be a local group or a resident. The nominations you put forward will be considered by a small group including a Hounslow resident, an engagement officer and the Cabinet Member for Housing and Homelessness. The finalists of the unsung heroes award will be celebrated at the Hounslow Housing Conference on Saturday 31st January 2026 at Hounslow House.

How to nominate your unsung hero

• Go to the Nominate Here section below and tell us who you want to nominate. That should take you less than 5 minutes.
• You can email details of who you want to nominate, send your nomination and why you support them to engage@hounslow.gov.uk
• You can download a copy of the nomination form and send it to us at Housing Engagement, London Borough of Hounslow, Hounslow House, Bath Road, TW3 3EB.

However you nominate, please submit it before 8am on 12th January 2026.
