You are invited to join us at one of our Social Cafés!

Looking for a way to connect with your community, try something new, or speak to someone from the Council about housing or local services? Come along to one of our weekly Social Cafés at either Mission Hall or Oriel Centre.

At the café, you can:

  • Join in resident-led activities like arts and crafts, crochet, and light exercise classes

  • Chat with Council teams about any housing or community concerns

  • Just drop in for a cup of tea and a friendly conversation

Organised by the Housing Engagement Team and run by your local Resident Engagement Officers, these sessions are a friendly, welcoming space for residents living on nearby estates.

The Social Café was created based on what residents told us they wanted — more activities at their local community centre, a chance to speak directly with housing officers, and a place to meet neighbours. So we listened, and we made it happen.

Whether you're looking to get involved, get support, or just get out of the house — the Social Café is for you.

Come along and see what’s happening in your community!
