Are there any changes to travel assistance for those under 16?
No, there are no proposed changes for children and young people under the age of 16. However, we do encourage young people to take up Travel training to prepare them for adulthood and independence.
What type of travel support is currently provided?

No, for 16 – 18-year-olds, travel support is discretionary and the Council chooses whether to provide it.
What about support for those aged 19 – 25?
For this age group, the Council is legally required to provide free transport if the Council determines it is necessary.
