Keep Britain Tidy’s Great British Spring Clean campaign,runs from 21 March - 6 April, it calls local people and schools across Hounslow to show they love where they live,by taking part in a nation-wide litter pick.
We invite you to pledge to pick a bag or more of litter, on Keep Britain Tidy’s website to pick a bag or more of litter.Helping to make a huge difference to the environment.
After the 2024 campaign, 86% of people who took part said they felt part of a national movement to tackle litter, and volunteers picked more than 425,000 bags of litter across the country!
We have created a calendar of volunteer sessions running every day during this campaign, which you can find under 'Volunteer in Parks dates' as well as below. We invite you to join us or organise your own litter pick and pledge the pick up on Keep Britain Tidy’s website!
Please note these dates are for park volunteering, if you are interested in doing clean ups anywhere else in the borough, you can contact the following:
If you are a resident and would like to organise an independent litter pick for in your local area, please make sure you have the appropriate risk assessment and are wearing the correct protective wear. To request 'KBT Spring Clean' litter bags email cleaner.greener@hounslow.gov.uk. Ensure you have pledged your bags on the website and reported bag collection on FIX MY STREET.
If you would like to get involved in clearing around your housing estate - please contact your local Estate Improvement Officer.
If you are a Hounslow School and are organising any clean up days, please email Cleaner.Greener@hounslow.gov.uk and provide the number of students/teachers who will be getting involved along with the date you are planning, ideally a few days prior if you need any equipment.
