In recent years we have seen improvements to the station, new pathways and plans for improved connections along Victoria Road between Feltham High Street and Leisure West.
Feltham Station
In recent years, we have seen improvements to the train station, new bus stops/ shelters and footways connecting to the station to make the station a public transport interchange. Feltham station upgrade was completed in February 2021 with extended platforms for longer trains, new pedestrian and cycle bridge and step-free entrance. Closure of Feltham level crossing has enhanced the safety to trains and pedestrians.
Victoria Road
Victoria Road was turned to a one-way street in autumn 2020 and the pavements were widened to improve safety to pedestrians, particularly to school children. The High Street and Leisure West are important destinations in Feltham. If we can make Victoria Road a more attractive route between the two, it could drive footfall to both and increase dwell time in Feltham Town Centre.
Funded by the Central Government, Hounslow Council appointed Jas Bhalla Architects (JBA) to prepare a connectivity study to explore potential public realm improvements along Victoria Road with a view of promoting greater connectivity between Leisure West and The Centre. Separate Teams meetings with key stakeholders around Victoria Road took place in late April 2022. Stakeholders were overall supportive of the proposals.
What's happening next? Some of the proposals from the study have been presented to the Feltham Town Partnership. Wider engagement will be carried out as part of the Feltham Masterplan refresh.

It is one of several pages looking back at recent regeneration work in Feltham as part of the Future Feltham online hub.
