Tenancy Management
We are committed to delivering excellent housing services that put our residents at the heart of what we do. We aim to build trust, communicate clearly, and provide safe, sustainable homes across the borough.
Our purpose is to build strong, positive relationships with tenants and support the successful management and sustainability of council tenancies. We work in partnership with residents and other organisations to improve outcomes for individuals and communities.
We are here to support you throughout your tenancy and will:
Carry out a settling-in visit approximately six weeks after you move in to check how you’re settling in and to address any initial concerns.
Conduct a follow-up visit around nine months into your tenancy to review any ongoing issues, ensure compliance with your tenancy agreement, and support your transition to a secure tenancy.
Undertake routine tenancy checks to assess the condition of your home and confirm occupancy.
Explain the terms of your tenancy agreement clearly at the point of signing. These details are also outlined in your Tenant Handbook.
Carry out a pre-termination inspection before you move out to advise you on your responsibilities and reduce the risk of any unexpected charges.
We will respond to all reports of antisocial behaviour within 48 hours following receipt of your report and be clear on the standards you can expect when you access our service.
