New London Local Nature Recovery Strategy by the GLA

The Greater London Authority (GLA) is preparing a new strategy for nature in London, called the London Local Nature Recovery Strategy (LNRS). They launched a public consultation on a draft version of the strategy which was available for feedback from Tuesday 30 September to 29 October 2025 to make sure that the strategy reflects the most important priorities for nature in London and identifies opportunities for improving nature in the right places.

The GLA and GiGL need Londoners, including GiGLer newsletter readers, to highlight areas which could lead to a specific habitat being better managed, restored or created. Use your local knowledge to mark the precise area in which specific habitat recovery can occur:  https://www.gigl.org.uk/2024/09/19/lnrs-interactive-map/
