In 2025 the Great West Road – also known as The Golden Mile – turned 100. A hive of economic activity for a century, the construction of new homes, commercial spaces and community facilities in the years ahead will open up a new chapter in its history.

We want this transformation of the area along the A4/M4 corridor to bring positive benefits to existing communities and businesses as well as those moving here.

This short survey is aimed at people living, working, studying or regularly visiting the area close to the Great West Road between Osterley Park in the west and Chiswick Business Park in the east.

These survey findings, together with the results of earlier and upcoming engagement work, will help us to continue building up a picture of local views, priorities and ideas for the Golden Mile. That picture will be an important source of evidence for the Council, developers and others as they work on enhancing and designing buildings and spaces which feel genuinely connected.

Opportunities to help shape the future of the Golden Mile will continue to emerge as plans and projects come forward in the months and years ahead. Stay informed here on Let's Talk at talk.hounslowgov.uk/golden-mile-community.
