Feltham Green Open Space improvement works started in spring 2024 and phase 1 was completed in autumn 2025.
First phase of improvements at Feltham Green included:
Eco-cabin
Freddie Mercury Memorial Garden
Improved entrance to the north of the park and granite steps
A launch took place September 2025 and celebrated a landmark moment in its regeneration journey as Brian May of Queen and Freddie Mercury’s sister Kashmira Bulsara unveiled the new Freddie Mercury Memorial Garden and Eco Cabin on site. In partnership with the Parks team, Friends of Feltham Green and the Regeneration team an area of Feltham Green was transformed from an underused space into a safe, vibrant community area.
Phase 2 will commence early 2026
Second phase of improvements at Feltham Green will focus on transforming an underused part of Feltham Green into an accessible and nature‑focused play space for families, local residents, school users and visitors to St Lawrence Church.
What we’re delivering
Natural play features including balancing logs, a fallen tree, carved elements, small mounds and swings
Sensory planting, native wildflowers and new trees for shade
Improved and accessible paths
Seating and picnic areas to support social use
Biodiversity‑friendly planting and wildlife‑inspired features
