Overview

Feltham Green is located opposite Feltham High Street, it boasts a large pond which is home to various wild fowl and fish, a brand new community eco-cabin and green space available for all.

The site has a unique village green character, an active friends group who help keep Feltham Green a clean and safe space for all and is now home to a Freddie Mercury Memorial.

Phase 2 - 2026

Second phase of improvements at Feltham Green will focus on transforming an underused part of Feltham Green into an accessible and nature‑focused play space for families, local residents, school users and visitors to St Lawrence Church.

What we’re delivering

  • Natural play features including balancing logs, a fallen tree, carved elements, small mounds and swings
  • Sensory planting, native wildflowers and new trees for shade
  • Improved and accessible paths
  • Seating and picnic areas to support social use
  • Biodiversity‑friendly planting and wildlife‑inspired features

June Update

The Feltham Pond Island restoration is now complete.

This also includes newly seeded wildflowers, creation of barriers between new vegetation and wild fowl.

May Update

Work has been taking place to improve the Feltham Pond Island whilst simultaneously also developing the new Family Area which will include the items mentioned above.

Pond Island landscaping is progressing well and the Friends of Feltham Green Wind pump has been anchored down on the Island.

New duck ramps either side of pond island have now been installed and already in use.

Phase 1

Feltham Green improvement works started in spring 2024 and phase 1 was completed in autumn 2025.

First phase of improvements at Feltham Green included:

  • Eco-cabin
  • Freddie Mercury Memorial Garden
  • Improved entrance to the north of the park and granite steps

A launch took place September 2025 and celebrated a landmark moment in its regeneration journey as Brian May of Queen and Freddie Mercury’s sister Kashmira Bulsara unveiled the new Freddie Mercury Memorial Garden and Eco Cabin on site. In partnership with the Parks team, Friends of Feltham Green and the Regeneration team an area of Feltham Green was transformed from an underused space into a safe, vibrant community area.
