Thank you to everyone who shared their thoughts, ideas and suggestions. Please see our new Culture Strategy here.

Earlier this year we asked our residents, creatives, schools, organisations, businesses and diverse communities about culture in Hounslow to inform a new Culture Strategy. Thanks to everyone who participated in workshops, filled out postcards and surveys and answered our questions. We have now been able to pull together key themes and start looking at the next ten years, shaping a vision for the future of arts and culture in our borough.

Your responses have highlighted differences of opinion, but also lots of shared views. Many of you told us that the biggest barrier to getting involved is simply not knowing what’s on or where to get the information you’re looking for.

You also spoke about wanting to see more cultural activities locally, and the importance of having events, artists and public art that truly reflect the diversity of our borough. Working in partnership with those who deliver culture in our borough will be key to delivering on these expectations.

The Strategy went to Hounslow's Cabinet in Dec 2025 and was approved.

Thanks for your participation and continued interest.

More information

Hounslow is a fantastically diverse borough rich with culture and heritage. However, there is more we can do to harness the skills, experience and creativity of our communities and providers, maximise the potential of historic and culture venues, boost investment and ensure culture is accessible to all.

An effective Culture Strategy will not only deliver more for our communities but put the borough on the map as a destination within London and beyond. It will also capitalise on the power of culture to support areas such as health and wellbeing, education, skills and employment, community cohesion and economic growth.
