Convent Way is a priority estate in need of regeneration and significant investment. The homes have become unsuitable for modern living and no longer meet the housing and accessibility needs of residents. The regeneration will be delivered over 15 years in phases.
Residents voted in favour of the regeneration, and the Council’s commitments are set out in the Convent Way Landlord Offer.
The Council is currently in the process to select a development partner, who will work with residents on updated designs and submit the planning application in 2027. To progress the development, the Initial Demolition Notice (see FAQs for further information) was served on 25th July 2026 although this does not mean any resident will need to move in the immediate future. The first phase of new homes should be completed around 2032/33 (subject to change). The majority of eligible tenants will be moved directly from their existing homes into a new home on Convent Way.
To ensure the council has the right information and an understanding of the tenants and resident leaseholders needs, we are currently updating the Housing Needs Survey. Please contact Tracey Barclay on 07814 774 174/ 020 8583 4726 or email her at tracey.barclay@hounslow.gov.uk if you need help completing the survey or further information.
Drop-in sessions are held at the Convent Way Committee centre every second and fourth Tuesday of the month between 1 p.m. – 3 p.m. Please come and speak with the Estate Regeneration team. You can contact the team on 07970 197 020 or email Niamh.riordain@hounslow.gov.uk
For further information, please check out the FAQs for council tenants, leaseholders, Temporary Accommodation, and private tenants. The FAQs are found in the documents section on the right-hand side and will be regularly updated
