Brentford Station CPZ – Event-Day Parking Survey
Hounslow Council wants your views on introducing event-day parking controls in the Brentford Station Controlled Parking Zone. The survey is open until midnight on 16 October 2026, and we would like to hear from residents living within the zone.
Overview
The Brentford Station Controlled Parking Zone currently operates Monday to Friday from 9.30am to 5.30pm.
There are currently no controls covering weekend fixtures or weekday evening events at the Gtech Community Stadium. The Council has received concerns from residents about parking pressures within the zone on event days.
This is a non-statutory resident survey. Its purpose is to understand whether residents support progressing the proposal to statutory consultation. No decision has been made to introduce event-day controls.
What are we proposing?
We are asking whether additional controls should operate during the following times:
- Weekday event days: 5pm to 10pm
- Weekend and bank-holiday event days: 12 noon to 8pm
The existing Monday-to-Friday controls from 9.30am to 5.30pm would remain unchanged.
The additional hours would apply only on designated event days. The existing CPZ boundary would not change.
All existing valid resident, visitor and business permits would remain valid, and no additional permit would be required. Pay-to-park and shared-use bays would remain available at the existing charges. Existing Blue Badge concessions would also continue.
If approved following the necessary consultations, signs would show when the event-day controls are in force and the restrictions would be enforced as part of the CPZ.
You can view the full proposal drawings and letter in the Important Documents section of this page.
Why are we proposing this?
The proposal is intended to address the gap in the existing controls during weekday evening, weekend and bank-holiday events at the Gtech Community Stadium.
Event-day controls may:
- Reduce long-stay parking by people attending stadium events
- Improve parking availability for residents and other valid permit holders
- Reduce the risk of indiscriminate or obstructive parking
- Help maintain access for pedestrians, carers, businesses, deliveries and service vehicles

Next steps
The survey responses will be reviewed after the survey closes.
All feedback will be summarised and presented with recommendations to ward councillors and the Cabinet Member for Climate, Environment and Transport.
If there is sufficient support to progress the proposal, a statutory consultation would be carried out before any final decision is made.
The outcome will be published on the Council’s website and on this project page. No implementation date has been set.
