Overview:

16 bike repair stations are being installed next month across the borough, as part of the council's new cycling initiative. These will allow residents to safely make fixes including puncture repairs, inflating tyres and altering gears, amongst other things. This is a collaborative project between the Parks, and Traffic and Transport Teams, promoting active travel and fitness and encouraging more usage of our wonderful green spaces.

Most stations will be on the outside of parks, making them more visible from cycle routes. When inside they will be immediately adjacent to, but not blocking entryways.

The stations have a small footprint of 1sqm and are roughly 1.5m tall. See photo below for an example station in use and in a parks setting (photos are representative from the supplier and are not in Hounslow). Maintenance is provided for one year from the supplier: Greasemonkey Cycles Scotland. Each station will have a QR code to report any faults or issues.
