Overview

Avenue Park - located within the Cranford ward in the Hounslow Borough - has an outdoor gym, children's playground, open field, tennis courts and community garden. It sits along the river Crane corridor and connects Hounslow to Hillingdon, bordering with Cranford Park which its sometimes referred to . It was the home to the first sports arena within the Heston and Isleworth Council district in 1954.

2026- Phase 1 Improvements 

The Parks team and Lets Go Outside and Learn (LGOAL) have received funding from the Crane Valley Partnership fund to deliver the following:

  • Baseline assessments including ecology surveys (LBH)
  • Biodiversity enhancements (LBH)
  • Community engagement and upskilling opportunities (LGOAL)

This work will contribute to the further development and improvements to Avenue Park

2024- Playground and Outdoor Gym Improvements 

In 2024, improvements were made to Avenue Park. Works included a brand new outdoor gym made by The Great Gym Outdoor (TGO) company and installed by Lampton Services Greenspace. As well as eight new play area pieces that include an agility trail and even a swing rope seat.

A launch event took place once the works were completed on Saturday 18 May 2024 as part of the free to attend 'Wellness and Wildlife' event which many local residents and park users visited and tried out the new equipment.

As part of this launch the team requested feedback on these works, and a survey was published.

This survey was open for 3 months and closed end of August 2024, receiving only 10 responses.
